About
A bridge between two film cultures
ICFF exists to make collaboration between Canadian and Indian cinema ordinary rather than exceptional.
About the Foundation
The Foundation is dedicated to promoting education, research, and public awareness of film, screen arts, cinema, and cinematic heritage in Canada and around the world.
A central part of its mission is to preserve, celebrate, and deepen the understanding of heritage films with historical, cultural, and artistic significance.
Through public screenings, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, conferences, and other educational and cultural initiatives, the Foundation seeks to make important works of cinema accessible to audiences while fostering a greater appreciation of the cultural roots, shared histories, and stories they represent.
The Foundation also encourages the study, restoration, reinterpretation, and responsible remaking of heritage films in accordance with applicable copyright laws, intellectual property rights, licensing requirements, and other relevant legislation.
Through non-commercial and not-for-profit activities, it aims to build connections between Canadian and international film communities, encourage cross-cultural collaboration, and ensure that cinematic heritage can be appreciated and understood by present and future generations.
All activities undertaken by the Foundation are intended to further these educational and cultural objectives, with any surplus directed solely toward advancing the Foundation's mission.
Legal and contractual literacy
ICFF advances legal and contractual awareness among film artists and technicians across Alberta, including newcomers, by providing access to qualified professional guidance on draft contracts and organizing quarterly legal literacy seminars.

Mission
To preserve, celebrate and deepen understanding of heritage films of historical, cultural and artistic significance — and to make important works of cinema accessible to audiences.
Vision
Lasting connections between Canadian and international film communities, where cinematic heritage is understood and appreciated by present and future generations.
